Robert A. "Bob"  Nunez
Robert A. Nunez of Howell passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center with his family by his side. Bob was born in Havana Cuba, moved to the US at the age of 18 when he settled in New Brunswick, and eventually moved to Howell. He was employed by Smutco Shop-Rite and Saker Shop-Rite for 26 years, and recently worked for Sears Hardware. Bob was a man of tradition and values who was very family-oriented and enjoyed family, the beach, golfing, and cheering on his favorite teams.
He was predeceased by his mother, Amelia Aruca. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Donna Nunez of Howell; twin sons, Richard and David Nunez, both of Howell; son, Robert Nunez, Jr. of Edison; daughter, Susan Nunez of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Vanessa Nunez and Dylan Nunez; his mother-in-law, Rose Russo; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 2:30 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. For those who desire, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
