Obituary for Ernest A. "Ernie" Zarrillo

Ernest A. "Ernie"  Zarrillo
Ernest "Ernie" A. Zarrillo, of Howell, died Saturday, Sept. 20 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Ernie was born in Newark and had lived in Lakewood and Middletown before moving to Howell in 1978. He was a produce manager at Foodtown and a member of United Food and Commercial Worker's Union No. 1262 for 17 years before retiring in 1991. Ernie was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in China and Central Burma during World War II. Ernie was a loving and devoted husband.
Ernie was predeceased by eight brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nancy Zarrillo, of Howell; five children and their spouses, Louis and Deena Meevers-Scholte of Toms River, Julianna and John Bihuniak of Freehold, Diana Eldridge of Melbourne, Fla., Louise and Frank Galletto of Houston, Del. and Karen Eadicicco of Brick; 14 grandchildren, Stephen and Vincent Zarrillo, John and Katherine Bihuniak, Suzanne Taylor, Candace and Casey Curry, Heather Martinez, Christopher and Vincent Galletto, Jamee and Joseph Eadicicco and Kaylee and Louis Meevers-Scholte; and one sister, Louise Hannold of Manahawkin.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his 10 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in East Windsor Cemetery, East Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Ernie may be made to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Cardiology Unit, P.O.
