Lucille  O'Mara (Irving)
Lucille O’Mara, 86, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, and moved to Freehold Township in 1972 to raise her family. She was a homemaker who adored her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her dog, Riley.
Lucille was predeceased by her husband, Desmond F. O’Mara in 2011. She is survived by three sons,
Michael O’Mara of Milford, CT, John O’Mara of Newport News, VA and David O’Mara and his wife, Kathleen of Old Bridge; six daughters, Jeanne O’Mara of Freehold Township, Theresa McGhee and her husband, George of Jackson, Kerry Weldon and her husband, Jimi of Freehold Township, Kathy Lagno and her husband, Fran from Salt Point, NY, Lory Rasiewicz and her husband, Ed of Manchester and Erin O’Mara of Freehold Township; seventeen grandchildren, Jeffrey, Christopher, Jordan, Bridget, Kaitlin, Marissa, Paul, Emma, Edward, Carly, Christina, Sean, Billy, Peter, Casey, Lindsay and Shanna; and four great grandchildren, Jenna, Ellis, Fiona and Myliah.
Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the funeral home for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow at Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lucille’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
