Obituary for Harold Ugi

Harold  Ugi
Harold Ugi, 80, of Perrineville, passed away on July 7, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Harold was born in Trenton, raised in Hightstown and had lived in Perrineville for over fifty years. He was a truck driver for Tredways Express, Hightstown for over twenty-five years retiring in 1989. In retirement, Harold was a groundskeeper for Shore Oaks Golf Club. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. Harold was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone and was a former Elder, Trustee and member of the bowling team. He served on the Millstone Twp. Board of Fire Commissioners and was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local #701. Harold was a former member of the Jetty Jockey Fishing Club, Manasquan. As an avid Nascar fan, he attended many races and most recently followed the #11 car, Denny Hamlin. Harold enjoyed nature, especially birds and flowers. He had a passion for the ponies and an affection for the hard six and eight. Harold had a zeal for travel and vacations, but his true love was his wife and family.
Harold was predeceased by a brother, Charles Ugi. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Marie (nee Bahm) Ugi of Perrineville; four sons, Robert Ugi and his wife, Chris of Quakertown, PA, James Ugi of Perrineville, David Ugi and his wife, Linda of Great Meadows, and USN ATC (AW/SW) Mark Ugi and his wife, Jessica of Lemoore, CA; ten grandchildren, Lauren Spratt and her husband, Elliott, Joy Ugi, Sasha Ugi, Sommer Ugi, Moriah Ugi, Amber Qalagari-Ugi, Billy Frejer-Ugi, Adam Ugi, Nathan Ugi and Katherine Ugi; two great grandchildren, Landon and Asher Spratt; a sister, Emily Leibolt of Zelienople, PA; three sisters-in-law, Joan Ugi of Florida, Bernie Olson and her husband, Bill of Jackson, and Lorraine Brown and her husband, Terry of Cranburry; a brother-in-law, Bill Bahm and his wife, Jo of Marysville, CA; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, 211 Millstone Road, Perrineville with the Rev. Gregory Pike officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
