Condolence: My condolences to Glen's family. I remember him as a personable guy and an ace reporter while we shared time on the JCK staff. He will be missed by all who met him because he was the sort of person with whom you could just sit down and talk, enjoyably, whether about the job or anything else.

Condolence: Dear Beres Family,
I am very, very sad to hear about Glen.
I knew him well, and worked with him often, at JCK magazine. He was a serious, focused, well-prepared, hard-working professional journalist, and a very good writer and editor. I admired him for his writing expertise and ability to always deliver a thoroughly-researched, informative, well-written article. He wrote for many publications besides JCK and was known and respected for his skill, reliability, and professionalism.
He had a genial nature, was easy to talk to and had a wide smile, especially when he spoke about his family, which obviously meant a great deal to him. He was a good and loving family man.
His passing leaves a hole in the lives of all who knew him, and who will miss him very much, and of those, you most of all. I pray that the Lord, who wept with Lazarus’ sisters at his grave but promised He is the Resurrection and Life, will comfort and support you all today and in the coming days, weeks and months.
And you will see him again.
You are all in my prayers,
With my sincere condolences.

Condolence: Dear Beres Family,

Please accept my sincerest and saddest condolences for the loss of Glen. I am still in shock
hearing that he is no longer with us. Through the years, Glen and I worked together on a number
of projects and issues. When I was president of Platinum Guild International, Glen and I brainstormed many articles and special editions to spread the word on Platinum. When Glen launched "Super
Sellers" for National Jeweler, we spent many hours meeting about how PGI could convince the large
chains and alternative sellers to consider offering platinum in addition to our efforts to reach the
independent jewelers.

Through the years, we would reconnect, mostly through business reasons, but invariably Glen would
proudly tell me the latest news about his kids and wife. After Glen left the jewelry publications, I relied on him for freelance projects and would brainstorm ideas with him during my years with PGI and later after establishing my own marketing business.

I am truly sorry and stunned to hear the news and I send Glen's family my deepest sympathy. I appreciated reading Whitney Sielaff's personal and poignant "In Memoriam" --we all met about the same time many years ago--which seems simultaneously-- like many lifetimes ago and yet just a moment ago.

Respectfully,

Laurie Hudson

Condolence: It was my pleasure and privilege to work with Glen first at National Jeweler and then as one of his contributing editors at High Volume Jeweler. He was bright, imaginative, enthusiastic and hard-working. On a personal level, I enjoyed his company and hearing stories about his growing family. All of us who knew him are greatly saddened by his loss; my sympathy and love to his family.

Condolence: Glen was a great asset to the jewelry industry and to the media. Throughout my career in NY it was always a pleasure to meet and talk to Glen. He was a great reporter, but more importantly a good person and a true gentleman. He will be very much missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
