Carl Barton "Bart"  Yohn
Carl Barton “Bart” Yohn, 74, of Freehold, NJ, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at home. There will be a receiving of friends at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
Bart was born in Wooster, Ohio to J. Leslie Yohn and Alice Schear on April 29, 1938. As a child he was a member of the famed Columbus boys’ choir. The family later moved to Littlestown, PA where he graduated Valedictorian of his high school class in 1956. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He worked as an analyst for Prudential Insurance Company for many years, and later as a substitute teacher in the Freehold Township School District. His hobby and passion in life was playing Contract Bridge, where he earned Life Master status many times over. He is survived by his lifelong friend and partner, Lila Stein of Freehold Township, his three sons, David of Canton, Georgia, Stephen of Mableton, Georgia, and James of Atlanta, Georgia; one grandson, Nicholas; and a brother, Randall of Elkton Maryland.
