Vivian Irons, 78, of Lakewood passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Vivian was born in Neptune, raised in Howell and had lived in Lakewood. She was the supervisor of housekeeping for Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood for over thirty years, retiring in 1995.
Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Irons, Jr. and three brothers, Robert, Norman, and Wesley Lane. She is survived by two sons, Gary E. Irons and his wife, Carol of Jackson and Dennis Irons and his wife, Kay of Cape Coral, FL; two daughters, Vivian Vega of Lakewood and Deborah Ullmer and her husband, Alan of Jackson; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; three brothers, William Lane of Lakehurst, Lat Lane of Toms River, and John Lane of Howell; and a sister, Pat Gordon of Jackson.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Thomas Detamore officiating.
